Bringing the Dog to Broken Bow

Broken Bow is an easy place to travel with a dog. Much of Beavers Bend's trail network welcomes leashed dogs, the river and lake give them somewhere to cool off, and several patios in Hochatown don't mind a well-behaved pup.

Bring proof of vaccinations, a leash, and water - cell service drops in the park, so download a trail map first. Summer pavement and midday heat are the things to plan around; early-morning walks are best.

Many Beavers Bend trails allow leashed dogs - the flatter river loops are the easiest with a pup.

River & lake cool-offs

Calm coves and the shallows below the dam are good spots for a dog to wade and cool down.

Several Hochatown brewery and restaurant patios are relaxed about leashed, well-behaved dogs - call ahead.
