Everything You Need to Know

Before You Book

Booking & Pricing
Is it cheaper to book direct vs. Airbnb or Vrbo?

Yes — booking directly through hautevie.biz saves you Airbnb's guest service fee, which is typically 10–15% of your total. That's $200–$500+ back in your pocket on a typical weekend stay. You get the same cabin, the same experience, and direct communication with our team — at a lower price.

Is my payment secure when booking direct?

Absolutely. All payments are processed through Hospitable's secure, PCI-compliant booking platform with SSL encryption. We accept all major credit cards. Your payment information is never stored on our website.

Is there a minimum stay requirement?

Most cabins require a 2-night minimum stay. During peak weekends (holidays, spring break, fall foliage season), a 3-night minimum may apply. Check the booking widget on any cabin page for specific availability and minimums for your dates.

Is there a security deposit?

Yes, a refundable security deposit is held at booking. If no damage occurs, it's released within 7–14 business days after checkout. The specific amount varies by property and is shown during the booking process.

What is the cancellation policy?

Full refund if cancelled 30 or more days before check-in. Reservations are non-refundable within 30 days of check-in. For full details, see our Cancellation & Booking Policies page.

Can we book multiple cabins or combine them for a large group?

Yes. For the largest gatherings, Arcadia and Avalon are neighboring cabins that book together as The Compound — sleeping up to 34 guests across 10 bedrooms. Several of our other cabins also sit close together. Tell us your group size and dates and we'll help you put the right combination together.

Check-In & Arrival
What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is at 4:00 PM. Check-out is 10:00 AM at The Jade, LivNLove, and Dreams & Streams, and 11:00 AM at all other cabins. Early check-in or late check-out may be available depending on the booking calendar — just ask us 1–2 days before your arrival and we'll do our best to accommodate.

How does check-in work?

All cabins feature smart lock, contactless self check-in. You'll receive a personalized entry code by text the day of check-in, along with detailed directions, Wi-Fi info, and a digital guidebook with house details and local recommendations.

How far is Broken Bow from Dallas, OKC, and other cities?

Dallas/Fort Worth: ~3 hours (190 miles) via US-75 and US-69. Oklahoma City: ~3 hours via Indian Nation Turnpike. Tulsa: ~3.5 hours. Houston: ~5.5 hours. Austin: ~6 hours. Shreveport: ~3 hours. Most of our guests drive from the DFW metroplex.

Do I need a 4WD vehicle to reach the cabins?

No — all of our cabins are accessible via paved or well-maintained gravel roads. A standard sedan or SUV will work just fine year-round. GPS is generally reliable in the area, but we also send detailed driving directions with your booking confirmation.

What is the best time of year to visit Broken Bow?

Broken Bow is a year-round destination. Fall (October–November) offers spectacular foliage; spring and summer are ideal for lake activities, hiking, and enjoying the pool; and winter brings cozy cabin vibes, heated pools, and peaceful forest walks. Every season has its own charm.

Is there parking at the cabins?

Yes, every cabin has a private driveway with room for multiple vehicles. Several cabins also have space for boat trailer parking. The Avalon and Aroha feature EV chargers (Tesla-compatible) on the property.

Amenities & Property
How many cabins are in the collection?

Eight distinct luxury cabins — and nine booking options in total, since Arcadia and Avalon can also be reserved together as The Compound. Across the collection we host groups from 8 to 36 guests.

How many guests can your largest cabin accommodate?

Our highest-capacity cabin is Dreams & Streams, which sleeps up to 36 guests across 7 bedrooms and 7.5 baths. For large groups who want everyone under one roof, Arcadia and Avalon also book together as The Compound — 34 guests across 10 bedrooms. Across the full collection we comfortably host groups from 8 to 36.

What's included in the kitchen?

Every cabin has a fully equipped gourmet kitchen including a full-size refrigerator, oven, range, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, blender, and a complete set of cookware, dishes, utensils, and glassware. We also provide basic spices, cooking oil, coffee, and dish soap to get you started.

Are linens, towels, and toiletries provided?

Yes. Hotel-quality bed linens, bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths are provided for every guest. We also supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap. A washer and dryer are available in every cabin for longer stays.

Do the cabins have Wi-Fi?

Yes — every cabin has high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi with more than enough speed for streaming, video calls, and remote work. Network name and password are provided in your digital guidebook at check-in.

Are the pools and hot tubs heated year-round?

Three of our cabins — The Jade, The Malibu, and The Aroha — have a private pool, and each is heated and available year-round, typically 83–88°F during normal operating conditions. Every cabin in the collection also has a private hot tub. There's nothing quite like a warm soak under the pines after a crisp fall hike.

Which cabins have sport courts and game rooms?

The Jade has a full pickleball and basketball court plus a game room. LivNLove features a lighted sport court and dual game rooms. The Avalon, Arcadia, and Aroha each have game rooms with arcade machines and more. See our comparison table for a full breakdown.

Pets & House Rules
Which cabins are pet-friendly?

Four physical cabins welcome dogs — The Arcadia, The Avalon, Dreams & Streams, and The Black-Beary — creating five pet-friendly booking options, since Arcadia and Avalon can also be booked together as The Compound. The rest of the collection is kept pet-free for guests with allergies. Pet details are confirmed when you book.

Is there a minimum age to book?

Yes, the primary guest on the reservation must be at least 25 years old. This policy protects both our guests and homeowners.

Are events or parties allowed?

Our cabins are designed for family gatherings, group getaways, bachelor/bachelorette weekends, and celebrations — as long as the group stays within the stated max occupancy. Large-scale events requiring external vendors or equipment are not permitted. Quiet hours (10 PM – 8 AM) are observed out of respect for neighboring properties.

Is smoking allowed?

All cabins are strictly non-smoking indoors. Smoking is permitted outdoors only, away from windows and doors. A cleaning surcharge will apply if evidence of indoor smoking is found.
