How Haute Vie Handles Your Information
Haute Vie Management LLC (“Haute Vie,” “we”) operates hautevie.biz. This notice explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Short version: we collect what we need to run a cabin-rental business, we don’t sell your information, and you can reach a real person about any of it.
You give us: name, email, phone, and message contents when you use the contact form; your email address when you join our mailing list; dates, guest count, and payment details when you book (payment is processed by our booking platform — card numbers never touch our servers).
Collected automatically: standard server logs (IP address, pages requested), anonymous usage events on this site (a random identifier stored in your browser — no name or account attached), and analytics cookies set by Google Analytics.
To respond to inquiries, manage bookings and stays, send mailing-list emails you asked for, understand how the site is used so we can improve it, and meet legal and tax obligations. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we don’t use it for third-party advertising.
We share data only with vendors that operate the site and bookings on our behalf: Hospitable (booking engine and merchant of record — processes reservations and payments under its own terms), Google Analytics (site usage measurement), our hosting provider (server infrastructure, EU-based), and email service used to deliver mailing-list messages. Each receives only what it needs for its function.
Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits; you can block these with your browser settings or Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Our own usage events use a random browser identifier that you can clear at any time by clearing site data for hautevie.biz. The site works fully with analytics blocked.
Contact messages and booking records are kept as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Mailing-list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe — every email includes an unsubscribe option, or just tell us. Anonymous usage events carry no name or contact details and are used only in aggregate.
Email info@hautevie.biz or call (580) 308-4851 to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (subject to records we must keep by law). We honor these requests for all visitors regardless of location.
This site is intended for adults booking accommodations. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
