Privacy Policy

You give us: name, email, phone, and message contents when you use the contact form; your email address when you join our mailing list; dates, guest count, and payment details when you book (payment is processed by our booking platform — card numbers never touch our servers).

Collected automatically: standard server logs (IP address, pages requested), pseudonymous usage events on this site (a random identifier stored in your browser), an opaque referral code when you arrive through one of our tracked campaign links, and analytics cookies set by Google Analytics. If you arrive through a link in an email we sent you as a past guest, that link also carries an opaque guest code that lets us connect your visit to your guest record. Neither code contains a name or contact information.

To respond to inquiries, manage bookings and stays, send mailing-list emails you asked for, understand how the site is used so we can improve it, and meet legal and tax obligations. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we don’t use it for third-party advertising.

We share data only with vendors that operate the site and bookings on our behalf: Hospitable (booking engine and merchant of record — processes reservations and payments under its own terms), Google Analytics (site usage measurement), our hosting provider (server infrastructure, EU-based), and email service used to deliver mailing-list messages. Each receives only what it needs for its function.

Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits; you can block these with your browser settings or Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Our own usage events use a random browser identifier that you can clear at any time by clearing site data for hautevie.biz. When you use a tracked campaign link, its opaque referral code may remain in site storage for up to 90 days so a return visit can remain attributed to that link. A guest code from one of our emails is held in a cookie for up to ten minutes and is then kept only on our servers. We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal, and the site works fully with analytics blocked.

Contact messages and booking records are kept as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Mailing-list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe — every email includes an unsubscribe option, or just tell us. Pseudonymous usage events are not linked to a guest's name, email address, phone number, or account, except when you arrive through a link in an email we sent you as a past guest. In that case we connect your visits to your guest record so we can follow up personally. We use them to review individual browser-session journeys, understand the performance of tracked campaign links, and aggregate trends so we can improve the site. Referral attribution stored in the browser expires after 90 days; detailed usage events and tracked-link open records are retained for up to 25 months, then deleted.

Email info@hautevie.biz or call (580) 308-4851 to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (subject to records we must keep by law). We honor these requests for all visitors regardless of location.

This site is intended for adults booking accommodations. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
